HTC Announced that it will update HTC Hero and Droid Eris to Android 2.1

HTC announced that it will update the HTC Hero and the Droid Eris, the Verizon version of the HTC Hero to Android 2.1 next month. HTC previously emailed HTC Hero customers that they would be getting an update to Eclair 2.0, Android Eclair 2.1 has some more features.

minor Android 1.5-based update- pushing out to the Hero

All Sprint Hero users will be happy to know there is a brand new Firmware 1.56.651.2 update that has been released.
